Quest-endpoint check

What to Do After the Radio Tower

A troubleshooting page for players who found ten clues, finished the radio-tower sequence, spoke to the Outpost NPCs, and then received no new quest.

Current answer

If you have ten clues and the Golden Mallet appears, you are likely at the current 1.0 quest endpoint.

The third floor is planned for October, when the official roadmap says a Halloween update will open it and add a new questline. That makes the currently locked floor expected roadmap state, not proof that your radio-tower quest failed.

VERIFIED MECHANIC

The developer's August 12 roadmap explicitly places the third Outpost floor and a new questline in the planned October update.

PLAYER EVIDENCE

A ten-clue player reports no further quests after speaking to the Outpost characters. Replies identify the Golden Mallet as the present endpoint; a separate thread links its recurring spawn to finishing all quests, not merely maxing the workshop.

Endpoint checklist

Rule out a known blocker before treating the silence as completion.

  1. 01

    Update through Patch 1.07

Patch 1.03 fixed one Ancient Facilities bunker door that clients could not open. A crew member on an older build may still encounter a progression path that current patch notes say was fixed.

  2. 02

    Confirm all ten clues

If the counter still reads 9/10, use the Ancient Vault evidence note. It intentionally does not invent a final location.

  3. 03

    Finish the Outpost conversations

The reviewed report had already spoken to the people at base. If you have not, complete that pass before comparing your state with theirs.

  4. 04

    Check behind the workshop

Players report recurring Golden Mallets where the free mallet normally spawns after quest completion. A maxed-workshop player without one weakens the theory that room level alone unlocks it.

  5. 05

    Stop forcing the third floor

The October roadmap is the strongest current evidence: normal progression is not expected to open that floor in the August build.

Is the quest broken?

The same symptom can mean “current endpoint” or “blocked earlier.”

Source tension

“Complete 1.0 quest flow” does not mean every visible doorway opens in 1.0.

SOURCES CONFLICT

The launch announcement calls the shipped sequence a complete 1.0 quest flow. Players still see a locked third floor and an unexplained basement tunnel. The later roadmap resolves the floor tension by scheduling it with a new October questline; it says nothing about the tunnel.

The useful interpretation is narrow: reaching the current endpoint is compatible with future rooms and questlines remaining visibly closed.

Still unknown

The basement tunnel is not a supported next step.

NOT YET CONFIRMED

No reviewed patch note, release announcement, roadmap entry, screenshot sequence, or reproducible player route explains how the basement tunnel opens. Do not spend materials or reset a good save based on an unsupported unlock recipe.

If your state differs from the checklist, keep the save, capture the quest log and clue counter, note whether you are host or client, and include the patch version when reporting it through the official support channels.

Multiple players were stuck at 9/10 after finding the rocket ship, notes, and two radios; the original poster later said the last item was through another gate system.
Limit
The poster gives no route, gate identifier, interaction sequence, screenshot, or visible 10/10 result. Another player still could not open the next vault door, so a reproducible location guide is not supported.
